Things I used to do:
- Dine (seared peppercorn encrusted ahi tune, bottle of wine, creme brulee....ya get the drift)
- Get a pedicure
- Shop for clothes and shoes (for myself)
- Actually try on clothes in the dressing rooms
- Wear high heels
- Wear jewelry
- Spend ridiculous amounts of money on booze, cigarettes and cell phones bills
- Get a massage
- Go to the movies
- Take a relaxing bath and shave my legs
- Have intellectual conversations about history, poetry and socio-political systems
Things I now do:
- Eat (as fast as I can before Carter loses all patience and we have to wrap it all to go)
- Sloppily throw some nailpolish on craggy toes (I've actually snagged my heel skin on the carpet, yum)
- Shop for clothes and shoes (for Carter)
- Hastily judge size of clothing by stretching over body
- Wear whatever won't make me trip and fall while carrying my child
- Studs and maybe a necklace (or else I'm just asking for abuse)
- Spend ridiculous amounts of money on diapers, toys and gas
- Grit my teeth in frustration while bending in strange positions to alleviate back pain
- Rent movies and hope me or hubby won't fall asleep before the end
- Take hot, hot shower and scrape old razor blade up and down legs in the hope some hair will also be removed
- Have intellectual conversations about breastfeeding, child development and hunting down a sale on childrens shoes

ain't that the truth!
It absolutely is the truth--but you're better than me, all of the before things seem so long ago, I don't know if I remember them well enough to make a list!
